You probably have some questions.

Let’s Get You Some Answers

  • I do not currently accept insurance, I am a private pay provider. If you choose to seek insurance reimbursement, I am able to provide you with a super bill (like a receipt) that you can submit to insurance for potential reimbursement for out of network (OON) services.

Here are some questions to ask your insurance company to learn about your OON benefits:

What is my coverage for outpatient mental health?

If my provider is out-of-network, what percentage of the session fee is covered?

    Has my deductible been met?

What is my co-payment or co-insurance?

How many covered sessions do I have per year?

Do I need pre-authorization for services?

Do you reimburse for associate services?

Here’s the why: Many insurance companies are profit driven, meaning when you use insurance, our work becomes monitored and managed by your insurance company. My goal as your therapist is to design a journey that prioritizes you, not the preferences of your insurance company. Additionally, maintaining my practice as private pay, means more folks get accessibly priced care. Learn more about sponsoring someone’s therapy on the investment page.

  • My clients are motivated adults looking to manage anxiety and repair their relationship to themselves and their bodies. I work with people 16+ who are motivated and inspired to mend habits that aren’t serving them. My clients want to develop a liberating relationship with their emotions. As a feminist therapist, I am passionate about empowering my clients with a personalized therapeutic journey that meets each client where they are.

  • First, we will schedule a complimentary meet and greet phone call where we can get to know one another a bit more and you can expand on some of your goals for therapy.

If we are a good fit, we can then schedule our first session, the intake session. This will mostly be information gathering and the beginning of our relationship. After intake, you will be able to choose the frequency of sessions that is right for you. We will reserve your appointment time and proceed with our work.

I know that this process is difficult, finding someone you connect with and that you can trust to walk with you on this journey. For this reason, I aim to make this process as seamless as possible for you.

  • I am so glad you asked! Walk and talk therapy is a modern and innovative approach to how we’ve always understood therapy.

If you choose a walk and talk session, we will meet at one of the pre-selected walking paths, and our 50 minute session will be spent connecting with nature as we walk and process your week. Depending on your preference, we can find a secluded spot to rest, or walk the whole session.

Living in the Pacific Northwest, inclement weather can happen, in these cases, I will propose telehealth.

The benefits of Walk and Talk therapy continue to impress researchers in studies being conducted around the country.

Something to remember about walk and talk therapy is that it is not confidential as I cannot control the public environment. When choosing a walk and talk session, we will review this and you can make an informed choice that is best for you.

  • This is a question people have when they first start therapy. Therapy is a unique journey for each person, and there is no way to determine when you personally will feel resolved to leave therapy. Some people are in therapy a few months, and some are in therapy for a lifetime because they appreciate the space.

My philosophy is that individuals can be in therapy for as long as they want, as it is an investment in your health and well being. I also believe that some people prefer to experience therapy, learn what they need, and end services. It is your choice, and you will always be encouraged to do what is best for you.
